As wedding planners of destination weddings in Italy, we cannot tell you how many couples reach out to us and tell us their dream has always been to get married in Tuscany. Tuscany is a region in central Italy, famous for its countryside with its characteristic cypress trees and for its medieval villages: it is probably one of the most gorgeous locations in Italy, and that is why lots of international couples are in love with it!
One of the couples who really wished to have a destination wedding in a Tuscan borgo was Alena and Edward. They actually have a very interesting story: we had the honor to plan a fantastic wedding for them, but at first, when they got engaged and started thinking about their big day, things became complicated. In fact, like many others around the world, this young English couple had had to postpone the wedding due to covid restrictions…but in April of 2022 they were finally able to become husband and wife!
When we met Alena and Edward, they told they had fallen in love with Tuscany…and since we love this area, too, we couldn’t be happier to start the research of their perfect venue in Tuscany!
Alena and Edward chose a picturesque venue in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, and they couldn’t have made a better choice for the type of event they had in mind! In fact, the couple secured themselves the exclusivity of the venue for a total of three days, and this allowed them and their guests not only to celebrate the wedding, but also to have a short —though unforgettable— vacation in Italy.
When they first arrived to the Tuscan borgo they had chosen as their venue, Alena and Edward and their group of around a hundred guests immediately had a taste of the Italian friendly atmosphere, and had a great time during the welcome party by the pool that we organized for them. They drank good wine, relaxed, and were looking forward to the wedding, which was celebrated the next day.
On the big day, both the bride and the groom prepared for the ceremony in the venue, surrounded by their respective group of friends, and were even able to have a preparation party, which made things even more special!
The symbolic ceremony was celebrated in the afternoon, and Alena and Edward were lucky enough to be blessed with a sunny and warm spring day. After the photo session and the aperitivo, the dinner started in the garden in the open air, and even if the evening breeze slightly lowered the temperature, we solved the situation by offering blankets to everyone!
The highlight of this wedding day was probably the great party that everyone was anxiously looking forward, and in fact it did not disappoint the expectations! Alena and Edward took with them a very talented live music band which accompanied the dinner, the cutting of the cake and the party on the outside until midnight.
Then, they party moved inside, in a beautiful inner hall with the deejay set, and continued for more hours. Everyone looked extremely happy, and all the guests were united and very friendly.
The celebration was not over, though, because Alena and Edward had also planned to stay for the following day, and we organized for them a delicious pizza party! This wedding was unforgettable, and besides the lovely people we met, what we loved the most about it was the possibility to make the guests live the venue to the fullest by planning three events in one!
We are sure that Alena and Edward’s choice of getting married in a typical Tuscan borgo and completing it with a short Italian vacation will stay in their hearts forever!
